Review: All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite in Charlotte, NC

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) made a stop in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday night to broadcast their weekly television show “Dynamite,” which airs live on TNT from 8pm to 10pm. And what made the evening even more special was that AEW is heading into their pay-per-view called “Full Gear” on Saturday night.

Wrestling fans filed into the arena ready to see the best wrestling show airing these days. Chants of “A.E.W.” (or “A.E.Dub.”) could be heard all over the premises. The building was extra cold inside due to the hockey ice being underneath the flooring. But it would soon heat up with all of the pyro and a lively crowd! It was an action packed evening. In a dark segment skit at the end of the show, The Young Bucks promised they would be back to Charlotte. Let’s hope that is very soon! Check out AEWtix.com for upcoming events!

PAC defeated Trent (with Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy)

Promo: Cody announced that if he lost against AEW World Champion Chris Jericho during the “Full Gear” pay-per-view, he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again

Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) defeated The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) to win the tag team bronze medals

Video Package: Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle are featured in a comedic hype package about the “Le Champion.”

Jamie Hayter and Emi Sakura defeated Shanna and Riho (AEW women’s champion)

Video Package: Brandi Rhodes’ foreboding message with Awesome Kong

“The Chairman of AEW” Shawn Spears (with Tully Blanchard) defeated Brandon Cutler

The Main Event: Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho (AEW World Champion) defeated Hangman Page and Kenny Omega. And in typical fashion, when it comes to a go home show before a wrestling pay-per-view, there was a brawl to close out the show. Jake Hager, PAC, Jon Moxley, MJF, Santana and Ortiz, The Young Bucks and Cody all got involved. They fought up the entrance ramp as “Dynamite” went off the air.
