Gin Blossoms, a band that ruled the FM airwaves in the mid 1990s with hits like “Hey Jealousy,” “Allison Road,” and “Found Out About You” will be the headliner act for the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee Festival slated for October 28-29 in downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue.

Also performing for the free gala will be the rock group Tonic, which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Airplay Hot 100 chart with their 1997 single “If You Could Only See.”

The festival will also include local music acts as well as hundreds of vendors, and carnival rides.

Both Gin Blossoms and Tonic earned Grammy Nominations during their heyday. “As Long As It Matters” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Performance by a Duo or Group for the Gin Blossoms, while Tonic received two Grammy nominations in 2002 including one for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song “Take Me As I Am”, and one for Best Rock Album for 2002’s Head on Straight.

The main act for the first night of the festival will be Moon Taxi. Moon Taxi is an American indie-progressive rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. Moon Taxi’s “The New Black” was featured in the 2016 BMW X5 Super Bowl commercial. Moon Taxi’s new release “All day All Night” is featured in the new McDonald’s commercial.

The free event is made possible by the City of North Augusta with the support of their 2016 Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee Sponsors.
