WWE Live Event in Augusta, GA
WWE returned to Augusta, GA for the first and only time in 2015 at the James Brown Arena on Saturday night. There was a good turnout, even though several superstars on the original card were out with injuries (Seth Rollins & Cesaro) or moved to the other WWE tour (Dean Ambrose).
Many WWE Superstars were on hand to put on a nearly 3 hour show. It featured hometown hero Big Show from nearby Aiken, SC. Even though it was a house show, there was an entrance ramp with a couple projector screens. There were no pyrotechnics, but smoke cannons were present at the edge of the stage.
WWE markets itself as “the best value in entertainment.” That certainly still looks like the case. WWE always brings family entertainment. What’s special about the WWE, it can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. Hopefully the WWE will return to Augusta next year and bring what they do best.
