WWE Monday Night Raw In Greenville, SC
The WWE returned to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC to put on the super show called Monday Night Raw. The show was a three-hour worldwide television broadcast, seen in the United States on the USA Network.
The crowd was pumped up to see the WWE in action. While waiting for the festivities to begin, the crowd chanted an impromptu “Yes! Yes! Yes!” in honor of WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan. The world famous Nature Boy Ric Flair “Woo” could also be heard throughout the night.
You could feel the excitement in the air when Justin Roberts, Raw ring announcer, said we were going live. The show began, and CM Punk’s “Cult Of Personality” entrance music hit, and the capacity crowd went wild. He was up first to take on Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family. After a back-and-forth match, CM Punk got the roll-up for the win. Erick Rowan and Harper then attacked CM Punk, and Bryan came out for the save. The place went crazy with the “Yes!” chants.
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena came out to a huge eruption. He spoke to the WWE Universe about the WWE’s partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which was observed the entire month of October in the WWE. He thanked everyone for their support and gave a shout out to the breast cancer survivors in the audience. He also announced that the pink WWE merchandise would be available throughout the end of the year, with a portion of the proceeds going to the foundation.
A huge six-man tag team match was up next that featured Cena and Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. Swagger was kind enough to call into Music Recall Magazine and chat with us last week. It was a high-flying action-packed match with each superstar showcasing the best moves in their respective arsenals. After the action settled, Goldust hit the Final Curtain on Cesaro for the win. Cena, Rhodes and Goldust stood victorious in the ring to pose for the fans after the match.
The final segment was up with South Carolina native and “unemployed” Big Show meeting face-to-face with WWE executives Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. After back-and-forth banter, they agreed to hire the Big Show back and give him a WWE Title shot against Randy Orton at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. The “authority” then made Big Show compete in a handicap match with the Shield and Orton. In the middle of the match, an unmasked Kane came out in a suit and tie to watch the match with Triple H and McMahon. The broadcast ended with the Shield triple powerbombing Big Show through the announce table.
It was also announced that the WWE will be returning to Greenville on May 12, 2014 for another Monday Night Raw live broadcast. Fans made their way to the box office to make their presale purchases, excited about the next WWE event in Greenville.
